JustPeople is a national initiative which can be applied in specific regions in the UK. It brings together the public sector, the voluntary and the community sector to engage communities and empower them to tackle issues that are affecting them locally.
Our first volunteering hub and training centre opened in Plymouth city centre in 2009 and works with volunteers across Devon and Cornwall. JustPeople started operating in London in 2011, and has recently started working in Manchester, Surrey and Sussex.
As a project of Pact - a national charity supporting people affected by imprisonment – we hope to set up new JustPeople centres in different regions in the future. Contact pact to find out more about our plans.
